Introduction

Milwaukee, located on the western shore of Lake Michigan, is Wisconsin’s largest city and a welcoming host for Summer Nationals. Known for its rich brewing history, summer festivals, and friendly locals, the city offers a walkable downtown filled with food, culture, and lakefront attractions. Late June and early July in Milwaukee are warm and lively, with a full calendar of events including Summerfest—the world’s largest music festival. Expect busy streets, outdoor dining, and festive energy throughout the city.

Weather and Climate

In late June and early July, Milwaukee enjoys warm summer weather. Average daytime highs range from 75–83°F (24–28°C), with cooler evenings in the 60s°F (15–20°C). Rain is possible but typically light. Pack lightweight clothing, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes. A light jacket or sweater for cooler nights or air-conditioned venues is also a good idea.
