Events Contested

The national-level fencing competition in Kansas City will feature events across multiple age groups and skill levels, offering opportunities for fencers of all experience levels to compete against top athletes from around the country. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a rising star, there's a category designed to challenge and showcase your skills.

What the Events Mean:

Division I: This is the elite level of competition, open to fencers aged 13 and older who meet the qualification standards. It typically features the best fencers in the nation, including those with international experience.

Cadet: For younger competitors aged 17 and under (as of January 1 of the current fencing season). Cadet events highlight rising talents and future stars of the sport.

Vet Age: These events are divided into age-specific categories (Veteran 40, 50, 60, or 70) and provide seasoned athletes with opportunities to compete against their peers.

Vet Combined: This combines all veteran age groups into a single category, offering a dynamic and inclusive competition format for experienced fencers.

Vet Team: Teams composed of veteran fencers compete in a unique and exciting format that emphasizes strategy and camaraderie.

Parafencing: These events are specifically designed for athletes with disabilities, offering an inclusive platform for competition at the national level.
